DESCRIPTION:Advancing Modern Professionals in Douglas (AMP'D) is pleased to announce the 7th Annual Cornhole Tournament will take place on Sunday\, May 6\, 2018. The tournament will be held at Foxhall Resort\, located at 8000 Capps Ferry Road in Douglasville. AMP'D is the Douglas County Chamber's program for young professionals in the community.\n\n \n\nProceeds from the Cornhole Tournament benefit annual Leadership Scholarships that are presented to local high school seniors who demonstrate outstanding leadership and community service potential and to young professionals seeking to continue their education. Players will be vying for the title of tournament champion as well as a $500 cash prize.\n\n \n\nThe double elimination Cornhole Tournament will begin at 11 a.m.\, with registration beginning at 10 a.m. Early Bird Registration is $35 for each team of two if registered by April 13th. After April 13th\, registration is $50 for each team of two or $35 for Chamber Members. . Pre-registration is required\, and payment must be received by Monday\, April 30th. Due to the nature of Foxhall Resort\, the Cornhole Tournament is a rain or shine event. The Tournament is open to teams of all ages.\n\n \n\nWhat is Cornhole?\n\nCornhole is a game played by two teams of two people\; some call it "bean bag toss". Cornhole can be found being played while tailgating for your favorite team or at neighborhood cookout. Players take turns throwing bean bags at a raised platform with a hole in the far end and points are scored by the beanbag landing on the platform or in the hole. It is an easy\, fun game and great for all ages.
