DESCRIPTION:Advancing Modern Professionals in Douglas (AMP'D) is pleased to announce the 8th Annual Cornhole Tournament will take place on Friday\, May 17\, 2019. AMP'D is the Douglas County Chamber's program for young professionals in the community.\n\n \n\nProceeds from the Cornhole Tournament benefit annual Leadership Scholarships that are presented to local high school seniors who demonstrate outstanding leadership and community service potential and to young professionals seeking to continue their education. Players will be vying for the title of tournament champion.\n\n \n\nThe double elimination Cornhole Tournament will begin at 4 p.m.\, with registration beginning at 3 p.m. Registration for Chamber members is $35 for each team of two and $50 for each team of two for non-members. After May 8th\, registration is $45 for each team of two and $60 for each team of two for non-members. The Tournament is open to teams of all ages. Pre-registration is required\, and payment must be received by Friday\, May 10th. Due to the nature of the venue\, the Cornhole Tournament is a rain or shine event. \n\n \n\nWhat is Cornhole?\n\nCornhole is a game played by two teams of two people\; some call it "bean bag toss". Cornhole can be found being played while tailgating for your favorite team or at neighborhood cookout. Players take turns throwing bean bags at a raised platform with a hole in the far end and points are scored by the beanbag landing on the platform or in the hole. It is an easy\, fun game and great for all ages.
