DESCRIPTION:Brighten Academy is a Public Charter School serving Douglas County students in grades K-8.  Brighten is an Expeditionary Learning School and is independently accredited through Advance ED.  In 2014\, Brighten was voted Georgia Charter School of the Year.  The following year\, its Director\, Lisa McDonald\, was awarded Georgia Charter School Leader of the Year.  In addition to outstanding academics\, Brighten offers a variety of enrichment programs including Foreign Language\, Music\, Visual Arts\, Drama\, Athletics\, and Gifted Education.\n\n \n\nOur annual Open Enrollment Registration will begin on February 1st at 8a.m. and will end on February 15th at 4p.m.  All Open Enrollment Registration Forms will be completed online.
