DESCRIPTION:The GreyStone Power Luncheons are held at the Douglasville Downtown Conference Center and The Centre at Arbor Connection. On average\, over 150 community and business leaders attend this monthly event\, which features a guest speaker and catered lunch.\n\n\n\nKEYNOTE SPEAKER:\nDr. Gordon Pritz has served as Superintendent of the Douglas County School System since May 1\, 2010. Prior to Douglas County\, he worked as teacher\, coach\, and administrator\, primarily in the Cobb County and Marietta City school districts. He has experience in all levels of public school teaching (elementary\, middle\, and high) and has dedicated 40 years to education.   \n\nDouglas County has seen many improvements and accolades during the tenure of Dr. Pritz\, including a graduation rate of 87.1% for 2016\, the second highest rate in Georgia for districts our size or larger\; the establishment of magnet programs at all five high schools\; College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) scores above the state average at the elementary\, middle and high school levels\; and a Douglas County teacher\, Casey Bethel\, being named 2017 Georgia Teacher of the Year. Fiscally he led the school system through several lean years without cutting instructional days for students as many other systems were forced to do.
