DESCRIPTION:In efforts to continue making Douglas County a great place to live and attract quality businesses\, I believe that creating a wholistic environment where all citizens can thrive regardless or socio-economic status and lack of opportunities is paramount to providing a work ready climate. It is vital that to provide a quality of life for individuals and families\, Leadership Douglas is partnering with Judge Rollins of the Douglasville Municipal Court to provide scholarships to pay for the G.E.D. test  for young men and women who have stood before Judge Rollins and have not completed their high school education.\n\n\n\nWhile the classes to prepare for the test are free\, the test isn?t and the cost for each test is $200.00. We are asking each individual to contribute $25.00 and businesses to donate $200.00 to this scholarship fund to provide a promising path for our Douglas County residents that may not have clear opportunities in front of them to help them become more viable for job opportunities in the Douglasville and surrounding areas.
