DESCRIPTION:Join the Douglas County Chamber for the United Way of Greater Atlanta's 21-Day Racial Equity Challenge. This is a free\, self-paced opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of how inequity and racism affect our lives and our Greater Atlanta community\, as well as the barriers they place on improving child well-being. This self-guided learning experience gives participants the opportunity to gain national and local insights\, tools for courageous conversations\, resources for healing\, guidance to become an ally or level up one's allyship and connections to a network of leaders working to create a more equitable Greater Atlanta for all.\n\n\n\nStarting August 9th\, each week during the challenge different topics will be highlighted. Topics include Racism in Atlanta\, Housing & Redlining\, Intersection of Race + Gender\, Allyship\, and the Effects of Racial Inequities on child well-being.\n\n\n\nParticipants will receive three emails per week with key learning information in the form of articles\, videos\, podcasts\, audio playlists and more.\n\n\n\nThe Challenge is at your own pace. If you miss a day or two\, you can easily catch up at your convenience.
