In observance of National Senior Center Month and National Fall Prevention Week, Douglas County Senior Services will be hosting “Falling into Healthy Habits: A Health and Wellness Fair” on Friday, September 27, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Deer Lick Park. The park is located at 2105 Mack Road, Douglasville, Georgia 30135.
The purpose of this event is to provide a platform of resources and specialists who are able to address the needs of older adults in an effort to help the senior citizens of Douglas County to maintain an independent lifestyle for as long as possible. Its focus is to also provide valuable, life-saving information to caregivers of older adults in our county.
There will be a variety of helping agencies on-site at the event. In fact, 32 agencies have already confirmed their attendance. These agencies will be conducting cooking demonstrations, interactive dance, aerobic presentations, free eye exams and hearing screenings.
