LaTonya Ammons is a highly successful Procurement professional with proven experience as a skilled negotiator, supply chain strategist and cross functional leader.
Currently serving at the Director of Procurement for the Douglas County Board of Commissioners, LaTonya exemplifies executive leadership and delivers operational oversight through strategic planning and direction to assigned procurement programs. Moreover, LaTonya employs subject matter expertise in the procurement cycle while coaching and guiding entire staff levels and providing performance feedback.
LaTonya began her professional career with Ernst & Young LLP as a program manager and developed her procurement skills while employed at Siemens, Sprint Corporation, Cox Communications, Inc., and the GA Department of Agriculture.
LaTonya holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a Masters of Arts in Economics from Howard University as well as her GCPM from the Georgia Department of Administrative Services.
