As data centers become an increasingly visible part of our regional landscape, business and community leaders are asking important questions about what they mean for growth, infrastructure, and long-term opportunity. Demystifying Data Centers, part of the Douglas County Chamber’s new Insight Exchange Luncheon Series, is designed to provide clarity, context, and thoughtful dialogue around this complex and timely topic. This luncheon will feature an overview from the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Natural Resources Team, offering a regional perspective on data center development, followed by a moderated discussion with leaders from economic development, utilities, and the data center industry. Together, these experts will explore the impacts, challenges, and opportunities associated with data centers—from energy and water considerations to workforce needs and economic competitiveness.
Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of how data centers fit into Douglas County’s future and how informed collaboration can help ensure balanced, sustainable growth for our community and region.
