National Heatstroke Prevention Day
Child deaths due to heatstroke is now at 23 across the nation, one of the highest at this point in time compared to all other years that this number has been tracked since 1998 (sources: Safe Kids Worldwide, meteorologist Jan Null with San Jose University, noheatstroke.org). July and August are considered the critical months for heatstroke deaths, and July 31st will mark National Heatstroke Prevention Day.
