Water Lab Analyst
This position conducts testing and analysis for a water treatment system. An employee in this position is responsible for selecting appropriate test procedures and instrumentation and conducting a variety of simple and complex chemical, bacteriological, and microbiological analyses of samples collected from water treatment facilities, reservoirs, streams, rivers, and industrial/commercial concerns. The employee in this position is required to use some independent judgment and initiative in administering tests and setting up sample collection equipment in accordance with standard practices; results are recorded in report format for Authority and regulatory agency use. An individual in this position is required to be on-call 26 weeks of the year. This position reports to the Water Laboratory Supervisor. Applicant must have a High School diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) and two (2) years of experience in a water treatment plant. Applicant must also possess a valid State of Georgia driver's license, satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record, and a valid State of Georgia Water Laboratory Analyst Certificate.
