Job Summary

This position assists with the full span of human resources functions, from recruitment to retirement.

 

Responsibilities

  • Performs a range of duties in support of data management via the human resource system
  • Utilizes knowledge of employee and manager self-service to guide managers in completing employee related actions
  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
  • Processes employee status changes, including individual and group changes and new hires, rehires, terminations, transfers, and retirements; reviews and verifies accuracy of data entered into the system; makes corrections or changes as needed.
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Generates and analyzes for accuracy a variety of employment and HR related reports
  • Processes employment verifications and unemployment claims
  • Reviews and analyzes payroll actions and reports
  • Participates in and completes Human Resource special projects
  • Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
  • Functions as a Position of Trust for the institution
  • Processes HR functions for assigned client group
  • Performs related duties

 

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a associate’s degree
  • Preferred qualifications are an undergraduate degree with a minimum of one year of HRS experience
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems (e.g. PeopleSoft) will be a plus
  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
  • Possession of, or ability to readily obtain, a valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated

  • Basic understanding, or the ability to learn, Human Resource principles and practices
  • Skill in oral and written communication
