Medline Industries has excellent full time opportunities (nights) to join our INCO Division in Lithia Springs, GA! This position will be working in a rotating schedule which is four days on and four days off. The ideal candidate will have experience with PLC programming and automation controls!
The Electrical Controls Technician will be responsible for using knowledge of electronic theory and electronic test equipment to troubleshoot and repair the electrical and process control systems of our industrial converting manufacturing equipment.
The primary responsibilities of this position include the following:
Apply electrical theory and deductive reasoning to diagnose causes of equipment malfunction or failure.
Utilize diagnostic equipment and processes to aid in troubleshooting.
Analyze controller logic and programming to aid in troubleshooting.
Effectively read and interpret electrical blueprints.
Perform repair of electrical and electronic equipment systems.
Provide detailed corrective action data when closing work orders.
Determine preventive actions to improve reliability of manufacturing equipment.
Correspond frequently with Maintenance staff to ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met.
Create documents that provide guidance in troubleshooting downtime, waste issues, etc. on facility machinery.
High School Diploma and at least 2 years of relevant experience
Associate Degree with relevant experience
Knowledge and experience using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools
Excellent statistical/mathematical aptitude
Technical writing ability
Must be willing and able to work overnight hours
Associate or Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field
Relevant Work Experience
3-5 years of experience supporting a high-speed manufacturing facility, preferably in non-wovens or paper converting environment
Advance electrical and process troubleshooting skills
Working knowledge of Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC
Working knowledge of 3-phase and servo motors, sensors, proximity switches, relays, pneumatic valves, HMI’s, Accusentry/Cognix Vision Systems
