Job Description
Job Title: Finance Manager
Reports To: President & CEO
Summary: Under the management of the President & CEO, this position oversees management for finance and operations for the Douglas County Chamber and Elevate Douglas Economic Partnership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operations & Finance Management Coordination:
- Perform all activities related to the accounts payable functions including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
- Process payment, invoices, income, receipts and entering data into accounting software
- Generate monthly financial statements for cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
- Produce various financial reports to support the Board of Directors and Finance committee
- Credit card processing and reconciliation
- Annual corporate registration
- Financial reconciliation reports to third-party records such as bank statements
- Assist with annual budget and audit
- Managing employees' expense reports
- Conducting daily banking activities including check signature and deposits
- Manage financial relationships with third-party vendors
- Human resources support including payroll processing, paid time off management, new hire paperwork and onboarding
- Support Board of Directors, Finance committee meetings and others as needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The successful candidate may come from a variety of backgrounds but should possess these attributes:
- Preferred minimum 5 years professional experience in finance and operations, or nonprofit industries
- Relevant bachelor’s degree or demonstrated experience in finance, event management, nonprofit or hospitality
- Goal-oriented: Candidate must be results-driven, with a strong commitment to growing programs, events, and the small business community we serve
- Teamwork and leadership: Candidate must manage, motivate and work effectively with our team, as well as with partner and key stakeholder organizational leadership.
- Highly organized: Candidate must be able to effectively manage time in order to juggle multiple responsibilities.
- Technology savvy, experience with content management systems (CMS), or willingness to be trained in addition to presentation and design.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, ability to interact with senior level business leaders.
- Excellent business correspondence skills-both written and spoken to clients, stakeholders, and internal departments
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Additional Preferred Skills:
- Proven bookkeeping experience and generally accepted accounting principles
- QuickBooks Pro (Desktop version)
- Microsoft 365 Suite Applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
- Membership/non-profit CRM database management (preferably ChamberMaster)
- Electronic file sharing systems such as Dropbox or SharePoint
- Video meeting applications such as Zoom or WebEx
- Must have/maintain a dependable vehicle with proof of license and insurance.
