Purpose of the Position: Under general supervision, performs a variety of general maintenance tasks such as light repairs, painting, and general upkeep of buildings and facilities. Assist with delivery of health-related supplies and packages in support of the health and safety of Cobb and Douglas Counties. Coordinate with County Property Maintenance for repairs of facilities systems. Duties may require independent judgment and initiative. May involve access to confidential information. Provide assistance to internal and external customers as needed. This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.
Essential Functions (include, but are not limited to):
· Completes Deliveries and Prepares Meeting Spaces for Events
· Maintains Grounds, Parking and Storage Areas
· Maintains and Stocks Equipment and Supplies
· Perform Daily Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance
· Emergency Preparedness Responsibility
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED AND Two years of experience in building repairs and maintenance or in the specific area of assignment OR One year of experience at the lower-level General Trades Tech 1 (FET030) or position equivalent. Note: Some positions may require area specific certifications/licenses. Any combination of education, training, or experience may be considered to meet the requirements.
Preferred Qualifications (include, but are not limited to):
· Valid Georgia Driver’s license with a good driving history
· Familiarity with performing light repairs, painting, and general upkeep of buildings and facilities.
· Ability to safely operate basic hand tools and small power tools (e.g., drills, screwdrivers,).
Work Conditions & Physical Demands: Requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and occasional work on ladders.
Salary Information: $36,174.73 Annually | Pay grade F
