GENERAL TRADES TECH 2 (FACILITIES)

Purpose of the Position: Under general supervisions, performs a variety of semiskilled and skilled building trades work in the repair maintenance or construction of state buildings and related structures. Installs and maintains security, climate control, and other facilities systems. Duties may require independent judgment and initiative. May involve access to confidential information. Provide assistance to internal and external customers as needed. This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.
Essential Functions (include, but are not limited to:
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED AND Two years of experience in building repairs and maintenance or in the specific area of assignment OR One year of experience at the lower level General Trades Tech 1 (FET030) or position equivalent. Note: Some positions may require area specific certifications/licenses
Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Effective oral and written communication skills. Experience in supporting management.
Work Conditions & Physical Demands: Some positions may require the ability to lift 50 pounds. Some positions may be required to work
off ladders.
Salary Information: $36,174.73 Annually | Pay grade F

Remote Work: – Employees authorized for remote/hybrid work must reside and perform their job duties exclusively within the state of Georgia. Remote/hybrid work arrangements outside the state are not permitted under current policy
