Health Educator Supervisor WIC - Marietta
Purpose of the Position: Under limited supervision provides supervision, training and support for GA WIC direct service providers to meet GA WIC Deliverables. May supervise Registered Dietitians, Nutritionists, and/or Administrative Staff. Self-monitors and assures that all GA professional and ethical standards for a state employee are maintained as well as facilitating the Statewide & Public Health core competencies and professional and ethical standards for their team. Self-monitors and assures ongoing professional development necessary to maintain those skills utilizing multiple resources. Performs all the duties of a GA WIC Competent Professional Authority meeting all standards as established by GAWIC and CDPH in the performance of those duties. “This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.”
Essential Functions Include (but are not limited to):
Minimum Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited college or university in public health education AND One year of public health education experience at a level equivalent to a lead worker level OR Bachelor's degree in education, social, behavioral or biological sciences or a directly related field from an accredited college or university AND Three years of experience in public health education, One year of which was at a lead level OR One year of experience at the lower level Health Educator 3 (HCP032) or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications: Registered Dietitian/ Licensed Dietitian, 5 years of Nutrition Experience; 2 years of which are Management Experience, GA WIC experience as a Competent Professional Authority.
Work Conditions & Physical Demands: Inventory Management requires lifting of up to 50 pounds. Fast paced work environment: ability to prioritize and self-manage tasks needed.
Salary Information: $55,003.33 Annually | Pay Grade K
