Role Description The newly created role of Major and Planned Giving Officer (MPGO) presents an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking and strategic leader to support Habitat’s vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. As MPGO, you will work closely with Habitat NWMA’s leadership team to create and execute strategic plans for major and planned-giving, corporate sponsorships, and special event fundraisers. Increasing major and planned gifts is essential to strongly support the affiliate’s mission, vision, and growth goals. The MPGO will work closely with colleagues, board members and volunteers to drive key initiatives and increase levels of integrated philanthropic support across the organization that advance fundraising priorities. Responsibilities include maintaining a portfolio for direct major gifts solicitations and sponsorships, overseeing their cultivation and engagement and designing creative acquisition and stewardship experiences. A special focus will be placed on growing, year over year, $5,000+ individual giving and collaborating with donors and financial advisors on expectancies, and estate gifts. An elevated level of sophistication working with high-net-worth individuals, professional finesse, tact, quality control, and rigorous oversight on all projects and processes is required. In this role, the MPGO will have a unique chance to shape the future endowment fund and gift planning strategy and develop innovative approaches to engage major donors. Benefits: FLSA Classification: Full-time; Exempt Reports To: Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director Schedule: Onsite, Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings and Saturdays Reporting Location: 1625 Spring Road SE Smyrna, Georgia 30080 The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. However, the hiring range for this position is $110,000 to $130,000 (negotiable).
