POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting awareness, engagement, participation, and visibility across Chamber programs, events, initiatives, and partnerships through strategic marketing, communications, digital content, and brand management. This role supports the execution of organizational marketing strategies while helping strengthen investor engagement, event participation, advocacy awareness, and community storytelling.
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, creative, collaborative, and passionate about community engagement and relationship-building. This position plays a key role in advancing the Chamber’s mission and strategic priorities through consistent, high-quality communications and marketing support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage and execute organizational content and editorial calendars across multiple communication platforms
• Coordinate digital communications to ensure consistency with organizational branding standards and messaging
• Create, schedule, and manage content for websites, email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and social media platforms
• Support strategic marketing campaigns for Chamber programs, events, initiatives, sponsorships, and advocacy efforts
• Assist with website content updates, enhancements, and online presence management
• Support photography, content capture, archiving, and promotion of Chamber events and initiatives
• Coordinate creation and distribution of marketing collateral including flyers, brochures, signage, invitations, presentations, banners, and promotional materials
• Manage relationships with marketing vendors, photographers, designers, printers, and external partners as needed
• Assist leadership with digital storytelling, organizational messaging, and public-facing communications
• Track and report marketing analytics and engagement metrics including email performance, website traffic, social media engagement, and campaign effectiveness
• Support event marketing and communications before, during, and after Chamber events and programs
• Assist with media outreach, press releases, community announcements, and promotional communications
• Maintain marketing and digital asset organization through file-sharing and project management systems
• Support additional organizational priorities and special projects as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Minimum of two (2) years of marketing, communications, project management, or related experience preferred, ideally within a Chamber, nonprofit, association, or community-focused environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with businesses, stakeholders, elected officials, media, and community partners
• Understanding of marketing principles including branding, digital marketing, content strategy, event promotion, and audience engagement
• Experience creating and managing social media content, email campaigns, newsletters, and promotional materials
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
• Positive attitude, initiative, creativity, adaptability, and willingness to learn
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business, or related field preferred but not required
• Experience with website content management systems
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
• Experience with email marketing platforms and analytics
• Familiarity with Google Analytics and social media insights/reporting
• Photography, short-form video, and basic editing experience preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
• Experience with CRM/database systems, preferably ChamberMaster
• Experience using project management and file-sharing platforms such as SharePoint, Dropbox, Monday.com, Asana, or Basecamp
• Experience with virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom or WebEx
WORK ENVIRONMENT & EXPECTATIONS
• Must maintain a dependable vehicle with proof of valid driver’s license and insurance
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and assist with event setup and breakdown activities
• Occasional early morning, evening, and off-site event attendance is required
• This position primarily works in-person and requires regular participation at Chamber events and community functions
